Session highlights from the 2016 event

Bringing together both Alcohol and Non Alcoholic brands our 2016 program included speakers from brands such Grolsh,  ILLVA SARONNO, Danone as well some of the most innovative up and coming brands such as Nix&Kix.

Below are some of the session highlights from the 2016 event:

  • Grolsch Case study: Creating the stepping stones for packaging innovation (Bastiaan Saris, Head of Innovation at Grolsch)- Bastiaan gave an excellent presentation outlining their global category strategy and how to influence shopper behaviour using packaging. He also touched on the importance of working in collaboration with supply chain to improve the innovative process.
  • Tia Maria case study: Rebranding from concept to final design (Stefano Pellegrini, Global Design Manager at ILLVA Saronno)- Stefano produced an engaging case study exploring the possibilities of new glass shape for Tia Maria, to improve shelf visibility. He also showed us how they test the consumer’s unconscious ideas with neuromarketing and eye tracking.
  • Panel Discussion: Evaluating strategies to leverage packaging innovation to help build brand loyalty (Bastiaan Saris, Grolsch & Karim Ladhu, AEG)- Day 1 included an excellent panel discussion addressing the key factors that are driving packaging innovation today and examining the impact packaging has on brand loyalty. The discussion concluded by looking at current consumer trends to help determine how best to approach building brand loyalty.
