Highlights from 2017

Banking security professionals from across Europe gathered in Amsterdam on October 17th and 18th 2017 to take part in 2 days of educational sessions, keynotes, workshops, roundtables and scheduled meetings. Over the course of the event we heard from some of leading thinkers in FS security and new business relationships were formed.

We heard from many institutions from across Europe including, Bankia, BNP Paribas, Danske Bank, European Commission, European Banking Federation, HSBC, MoneYou, Nordea, RBS, Société Générale amongst many more.

Key highlights include Mark Cooke, Global Head of Operational Risk from HSBC sharing his insight into how to evaluate operational risk and how companies can rapidly respond to manage these evolving risks. Mark was followed by ThreatMetrix and Lloyds Banking Group discussing how they’ve used machine learning to support authentication and the customer experience.

Stéphane Nappo, Global Chief Information Security Officer & Board Advisor, Société Générale shared his approach to managing third party security and how to adopt a pragmatic approach to vendor risk.

The 2nd conference day was kicked off by Poul Otto Schousboe, Chief Information Security Officer and SVP, Danske Bank and Wim Bartsoen, Head of Cyber Defence, Privacy and Awareness,  BNP Paribas Fortis presenting on strengthening internal and external securities and credit transfer fraud prevention.
