Roel Wolfert is Senior Vice President, Consulting & Advisory Services, Visa Europe.

Based in Amsterdam, he is responsible for Visa’s consulting & advisory activity across Europe, the advisory unit which works with clients & member banks across Europe to help resolve their key domain and strategic business issues and to achieve maximum performance on their Visa portfolios.

Roel has 15 years marketing and business experience in financial services. He joined Visa Europe in November 2011 as Senior Vice President, Visa Consulting and Advisory services.

Roel has more than 15 years’ experience of retail and wholesale banking, payments, cards, life insurance, venture capital and electronic delivery systems globally. This includes sales, business development, consultancy and program delivery in a range of companies from banks, innovative e-commerce start-ups, high tech companies and large technology service providers. Furthermore he is an expert in the area of Innovation and currently writing a management/scientific book about the concept of 'Value Innovation'. Finally Roel enjoys helping organizations and executives to make a 'turn around' in their business (model).

Prior to Visa, Roel was responsible for Strategy & Marketing for the Global Financial Services business at Logica.
