Adrian Bennett BA, FCA - Director, Empowered Consulting Ltd
Adrian is a highly experienced, bilingual (French), qualified Chartered Accountant; a banking professional of over 30 years’ standing, with a broad background running multi-disciplined Back Office and Functions teams in multi-cultural environments, specialising in change management, transformation and high-profile, transversal cost savings programmes, fully conversant with both the practical and political aspects relating thereto, and with special interests in Business Continuity Management, and Communications/Event & Seminar Management.
Empowered Consulting Ltd was set up in early 2012 to provide specialist consultancy for Business Continuity and Threat Management, targeting specifically Senior Management, Change & Transformation project services, Interim Management for Functions in the Financial Services sector, and Event & Seminar management.
Before that Adrian spent 12 years with BNP Paribas, the last 3 based in Paris, 10 years with SE Banken with 5 of these based in Stockholm and 10 years with RepublicBank Dallas, now part of Bank of America. While latterly fulfilling the role as Global Head of Communications for Compliance & Operational Risk, the majority of Adrian’s roles have been to lead Operations and Functions teams within the Investment Banking arms of these major institutions.

PJ Di Giammarino
PJ Di Giammarino: Former COO IT at Barclays Capital, PJ is the founder and CEO of JWG – a think-tank recognised by regulators, financial institutions and technology firms as the independent analysts to help determine how the right regulations can be implemented in the right way. He works with executives in top financial institutions, and with their regulators and suppliers, to bring practical insights into the implementation global regulatory reform. Prior to starting his own company in 2006, he spent 14 years providing IT strategy and implementation services with McKinsey, Booz Allen & Hamilton and AT Kearney. He is a frequent author and public speaker on topics including EU regulation and financial services infrastructure. He has served as a Wholesale Banking Technology Innovation Award judge for the Financial Times’ The Banker magazine and the Financial News Awards for IT excellence.
JWG are recognised by regulators, financial institutions and technology firms as the independent analysts to help determine how the right regulations can be implemented in the right way. Chris Skinner, Chairman of the Financial Services Club
Chris Skinner is best known as an independent commentator on the financial markets through the Finanser (www.thefinanser.com) and Chair of the European networking forum the Financial Services Club, which he founded in 2004. The Financial Services Club is a network for financial professionals, and focuses on the future of financial services through the delivery of research, analysis, commentary and debate and has regular meetings in London, Edinburgh, Dublin and Vienna. He is the author of nine books covering everything from European regulations in banking through the credit crisis to the future of banking.
He is also Chief Executive of Balatro Ltd, a research company, and a co-founder of the website Shaping Tomorrow, as well as a regular commentator on BBC News, Sky News and Bloomberg about banking issues.
He is a Judge on many awards programs including the Card Awards and the Asian Banker’s Retail Excellence Awards, as well as having worked closely with leading banks such as HSBC, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Citibank and Société Générale and the World Economic Forum.
