What to expect from 2017

Fire Protection and Safety in Tunnels Conference is an event will not only focus on pure opportunity, but on the steps the tunnelling industry has to take to protect and keep the tunnel users safe from disasters such as fires. Each year we aim to create a comprehensive agenda, speaker line-up and audience to share ideas and inspire the innovations of the future.

The event development team undertake months of research to create a programme which reflects the biggest challenges of the day.

The 2017 programme will build on the success of our previous events which will see the likes of AIBN, Bane NOR, CrossRail, Amsterdam Metro, Statens Vegvesen and the London Bridge Associates. For 2017 we’ll be showcasing the most efficient and safe ways and methods to keep our users safe and protected in case of a disaster. It is more important to prevent the fire from happening as supposed to reacting to the disaster. . This allows you to explore and examine what your peers are doing and the best potential ways to improve your processes.

We know that some of the most valuable conversations take place outside of the programme, we deliver a series of informal networking breaks including, drinks receptions, dinners, power-lunches and breakfasts to ensure delegates get the opportunity to meet new, lasting business contacts.
