Maria João Duarte – Speaker

Policy Officer, European Power Plant Supplier Association

Maria João Duarte is Policy Officer for the European Power Plant Suppliers Association (EPPSA) and is responsible for all facets of the association’s public relations and interaction with the members and the EU institutions. She joined EPPSA in 2008 following experiences with international organisations in the humanitarian and security field and holds a degree in International Relations. Over the years, she specialised in low carbon technologies, energy efficiency and all issues related to the public acceptance regarding energy infrastructure projects in the European Union. More recently, she also joined the European energy storage community experts by working for the newly created European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) based in Brussels.
