Highlights from the Nordic Mobile Healthcare Congress 2016

2016 saw delegates gather from across the Nordics to explore the latest developments in mobile technology and the benefits it brings for both patients and clinicians. The event featured presentations from some of the leading policy makers and practitioners from the region and gave attendees the opportunity to discover new technology and new ways of working which have brought about improvements in health services and patient outcomes.

Highlights included:

Erik Jylling, Health Policy Director, Danish Regions kicked off the event with a Danish perspective on the steps they are taking to enable as many patients as possible to receive care at home. Erik talked in detail about the interoperability framework and how the Danish regions are working together to improve independent care.

Erik was followed by Anette Åquist Falkenroth, CMIO at Sahlgrenska University Hospital who talked about the change management systems their utilising in the hospital to support the implementation of new technology and ways of working. Anette spoke about the need to build trust in change strategies and to ensure leadership at all levels to push change through.

Our industry research has consistently showed that it’s not a lack of technology which is holding back mHealth but the huge organisational changes it demands. For 2017 we’ll be showcasing the best examples of mHealth use in health and social care.
