        This presentation will introduce the sustainability trend and issues emerging over the next few years. It will present the challenges, dilemmas and opportunities the packaging industry will need to prepare for in the future to be successful, including:

        • Key themes emerging on sustainability likely to impact the packaging industry

        • Example and case study illustration of who is prepared or handling this well

        • Implications for packaging innovation & design

        • PACE London Collaboration Project the "box" Blue Marlin, Korsnas, HP, AB Graphics and Esko

          Main Conference Room

          Blue Marlin, Korsnas, HP AB Graphics and Esko have came together to create and produce innovative packaging to house the PACE seminar info pack. The aim of this collaboration is to showcase how industry best practices can be implemented, supported by the latest technology to drive a more integrated, shorter development process that would allow to showcase key areas of packaging innovation. This presentation will show the workflow process from concept through to finishing. The emphasis is on Digital, Lean Manufacturing processes, enabling innovation, combining to produce a unique piece with some outstanding features.

          The “box” will be revealed in a presentation on the opening day of Pace London where members of the collaboration will show how the box came into being and how it was brought to a successful conclusion. Each attending brand owner will receive a personalised example of the product and will have the opportunity to pass by the collaboration stand, in the Innovation Space where all the partners will be available to discuss their part in the workflow process and answer any questions.
