As Pennsylvania’s largest city, Philadelphia is not only offers a range of food and drink, merging American and Italian cuisines, but also presents a plethora of culture, having been founded in 1682.

The city was deisgned for easy travel and is home to 5 public parks: Central Square, North East Publik Square (Franklin Square), Northwest Square (Logan Square), Southwest Square (Rittenhouse Square), and Southeast Square (Washington Square).

It is also home to numerous historical sites relating to the founding of the U.S. within the Independence National Historical Park, including the Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

If you’re looking for somewhere educational to fit into your trip, why not visit the Franklin Institute or the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology- Philadelphia’s main science hotspots!

Or if you’d rather delve into the Arts - the Philadelphia Museum of Art is one of the largest art museums in the United States, with the entrance steps being famously featured in Rocky (1976).

Where to eat

Known for hoagies, soft preztels and cheesesteak, Philadelphia has a wealth of eateries from budget to high-end.
