Speaker Hosted Roundtables

Interactive roundtable sessions offer a unique opportunity to come together with your peers to share best practice and develop solutions to critical challenges facing the industry as a whole. Hosted by industry experts and each focused on a single issue, roundtables are an exciting, interactive way to build your personal network and learn from the experience and expertise of others.

Each roundtable session lasts for 40 minutes, and delegates may attend up to 2 roundtables.

ROUNDTABLE 1: Reserved for Tate & Lyle
ROUNDTABLE 2: Reserved for EXBERRY
ROUNDTABLE 3: Reserved for Edlong

ROUNDTABLE 4: Artificial intelligence and enterprise automation in the dairy industry

Analyst IDC predicts in their report “IDC FutureScape: Worldwide Intelligent ERP 2024 Predictions” that by 2028, 85% of enterprises using intelligent applications will have evolved to running as autonomous organizations, redefining the technology resource usage within the business. Enterprise software vendors such as Infor are investing heavily in Artificial Intelligence (e.g., Machine Learning and Generative AI), process intelligence and Robotic Process Automation to enable dairy processors to make this happen. During the roundtable we introduce the concepts and practical examples followed by a roundtable discussion to brainstorm possible use cases and how most value can be created in the business.

Prof. Niall English
Professor (Chemical Engineering) at UCD and CTO at AquaB

Niall English as a professor in Chemical Engineering at University College Dublin, as well as an inventor, chartered chemical engineer a spin-out/start-up entrepreneur. Many of his interests lie in how external fields affect the ordering and behaviour of systems at the nanoscale - such as those composed of water, water-gas and proteins. In particular, he is fascinated how protein assemblies respond to fields - and typically in industrial situations, such a milk processing.

Aqua-B’s disruptive innovation in low-energy, ultra-dense nanobubble (UD-NB) generation in water, and other solvents, stems from its breakthrough discovery of electrostriction-based nano-phase generation. Without any moving parts, these solid-state nanobubble generators can be deployed and retro-fitted for ultra-efficient performance – even Off-Grid (e.g., solar means) to revolutionise water aeration, e.g., for activated-sludge and dissolved-air flotation – slashing OPEX.
