Dr Caitlin Hall (RD, PhD) is Head of Research at gut microbiome company, myota. She completed her PhD in neurosciences and gut microbiology (gut-brain axis) at the University of Queensland and spent two years as a visiting researcher at King's College London. Her research focuses on how the gut microbiome can influence brain network dynamics related to anxiety and depression. More recently, her research at myota studies how prebiotic fibres can impact metabolic health, inflammatory biomarkers, cognitive function, and mood by modulating the environment within the gut (and its microbiota). Caitlin is also a Registered Dietitian, with a specialist interest in the gut-brain axis, longevity, and female health.

I started at 19 in the fresh produce industry as a QA Manager and worked my way up to Technical manager when I was in my early 20's. A few years later, I took the plunge into interim consultancy. For 10 years I worked in ~25 sites across the UK, predominantly in high care environments from sandwiches, ready meals, prepared salads, cooked meats, party foods and well as other low risk industries like confectionery, canning, exotic fruits and blending. I've also enjoyed auditing all over the world, from all over the UK and Ireland, to the EU and as far as Australia. Starting at Bulk in 2023, I was ready to pour all my experience and knowledge into one business, leading a team of technical excellence, with a strong commercial attitude.

He started his career at Accenture, before moving to Zenith where he was a board director. He joined GlobalData in 2016 to lead its consumer advisory practice and has led more than 200 strategy projects across 22 countries for food and beverage companies, suppliers, and investors. He now lives and works in Dubai, UAE. 

 

Philip holds an MBA with Distinction from the University of Bath and MEng from the University of Nottingham.
