Teresa Ferreiro

Teresa Ferreiro-Vilariño is a certified professional coach, business facilitator, and patient advocate with over 20 years of experience working with leaders, organizations, and individuals navigating complex transitions.

At the age of 36, a breast cancer diagnosis redirected her professional focus toward empowering people living with cancer to reclaim agency, voice, and choice in the midst of illness. What began as a personal turning point became a professional calling.

In 2012, she authored the award-winning book I Have Breast Cancer – What Now?, offering guidance and hope to thousands of readers. Two years later, she founded Baby Beatles, a charity supporting women who wish to become mothers after breast cancer. In recognition of her commitment to patient advocacy, she received the European Patient Champion Award in 2019.

In 2022, Teresa earned her Ph.D., with research centered on applying professional coaching methodologies to strengthen patient empowerment and resilience.

She is now preparing to publish her forthcoming book, Navigate Cancer – Coaching for Resilience, a transformative guide designed to reshape how we approach cancer—moving beyond the purely medical lens to foster self-leadership, resilience, and purposeful living for those affected by the disease.

Teresa is the founder of Kimberlite (www.kimberlite.es), where she offers specialized coaching and personal development programs for individuals living with cancer, as well as workshops and leadership development initiatives within organizations. She also serves as a leadership coach at IMD Business School, working with senior executives and global leaders.
