Jessica Naga
CEO of MINDEX Group

Jessica Naga is a FinTech barrister and entrepreneur. She is a barrister of the Roll of the England & Wales Bar (2004) and Mauritian Bar (2007). She is the Group CEO of the Mauritian headquartered MINDEX Group of companies, which includes MINDEX Digital Custodian Limited, the first licensed Virtual Asset Service Provider of Mauritius, and MINDEX Limited, the first digital securities exchange of Mauritius. Jessica co-founded the MINDEX Group with the goal of addressing financial infrastructure deficiencies in Africa and using blockchain technology to optimise the creation, storing and trading of assets. In 2020, Jessica was the laureate of Women In Africa 54 (WIA 54) in the digital sphere, and in 2021 and 2022, formed part of the 100 International Women in FinTech Power list of Innovate Finance, UK. She was also the winner of the Most Innovative FinTech CEO 2024 award, by APAC Insider Magazine. In January 2025, she won the Crypto Infrastructure CEO of 2024 award for Africa.

Sunil Benimadhu
Chief Executive, Stock Exchange of Mauritius

Sunil Benimadhu joined the Stock Exchange of Mauritius (SEM) as Chief Executive in May 1998. He was appointed Executive Director of the SEM in October 2008. Sunil was until
October 2020, the Chairman of Global Finance Mauritius (GFM), the apex body of private sector operators in the Financial Services Industry in Mauritius, aiming at developing
Mauritius as an International Financial Centre of excellence. During his tenure, he played an instrumental role in the setting up of Mauritius Finance, which is now the leading voice for the financial services industry in Mauritius, he served on its Board from November 2020 to April 2024. He was a Board member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE), an association of the World’s leading Stock Exchanges, from October 2014 to September 2021.

Sunil was the President of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA), an association of 25 Stock Exchanges operating on the continent, from August 2010 to November 2014.  From 2002 to 2005, he was a member of the Executive Committee of the South Asian Federation of Exchanges (SAFE), which comprises twelve Stock Exchanges of
the South Asian region. From April 2001 to February 2004, he chaired the SADC Committee of Stock Exchanges (COSSE), an association of ten Stock Exchanges of the Southern African region.

Sunil is a regular speaker on Emerging and African Financial Markets in international conferences. He holds a M.B.A. in Finance and Investment from the University of Illinois,
United States. He also holds a D.E A. in Development Economics and a Maîtrise in Macro-Economics from the University of Aix-Marseille, France.

Krishna Gangopadhyay
MD & CEO, AFRINEX

Krishna, a technocrat from Jawaharlal Nehru University and IIM Calcutta, is the MD and CEO of AFRINEX, an international stock exchange in Mauritius established as an initiative of Government of Mauritius and supported by Government of India with BSE Technologies Pvt. Ltd. as technology and skill partner. Launched on 25th October, 2021, AFRINEX is the largest stock exchange in Mauritius by market capitalisation of listed securities.

Krishna has close to two and half decades of experience that spans across capital markets, NBFCs, telecom, insurance, etc. Prior to AFRINEX, she had setup India International Exchange (India INX) and India International Clearing Corporation (India ICC) at GIFT IFSC, India.

Throughout her career, Krishna is known for conceptualising new product development along with technology and operational implementation, thought leadership, market microstructure design, market development attracting participants with long term strategy, corporate governance, finance and regulatory policies. Throughout her career she has delivered results in new and unchartered areas handling micro and macro challenges to deliver on objectives.
