Mac Bonafede
PhD, MPH, Vice President, Real World Evidence

Mac is Vice President of Real World Evidence at Veradigm where he leads an elite team of researchers, data scientists, statisticians, and epidemiologists in conducting and guiding real world health economics and outcomes research studies. Mac’s team is adept at using varied real world data sources to generate real world evidence findings in a range of therapeutic areas.

Before joining Veradigm, Mac was with IBM Watson Health (previously Truven Health Analytics and Thomson Reuters Healthcare). Prior to that, he served on the faculty of the Albany College of Pharmacy, where he taught courses covering research and statistical methods, total quality management, and evidence-based medicine.

Mac continues to lecture in the University of New Hampshire’s Department of Health Management and Policy. He holds a PhD in health services research and policy and a master’s degree in public health, both from the University of Rochester. Outside of work, Mac is likely to be found working on his family’s 200-year-old farmhouse in southern New Hampshire or unsuccessfully trying his hand at small scale agriculture and homesteading.

Janna Manjelievskaia, PhD, MPH
Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR)

Janna is the Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) at Veradigm where she leads a team of senior researchers and statisticians to develop and implement HEOR strategies within the real-world evidence group. Her team is capable of answering difficult research questions with a breadth of different study designs using EMR, claims, and registry data sources. Janna has nearly 15 years of health industry experience in a variety of research, academic, and government settings.

Prior to joining Veradigm, Janna was a Research Leader at Merative (formerly IBM Watson Health and Truven Health Analytics) where she led the design and implementation of research projects using RWD and developed proposals that focused on burden of illness/natural history of diseases analyses, post-marketing safety studies, innovative methodological approaches to patient journeys, and healthcare resource utilization and costs.

Janna also served as adjunct faculty in Health Policy at Regis College. She holds a PhD in Health Policy from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia and an MPH in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Temple University.
