Alongside this, the mining industry is primed for growth from $2.1trn in 2025 to $2.8trn in 2030, with a CAGR of 6.3%. Approximately 90% of mining operators have targeted a minimum of a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030, according to research commissioned by ExxonMobil.
