A series of initiatives are underway that are significantly upgrading the clinical supply chain in sub-Saharan Africa.

For decades, the potential of the clinical supply chain in sub-Saharan Africa was going unfulfilled for a market with considerable value. Yet this is changing with significant strides forward in recent years through the work of Oximio, an internationally established provider of clinical trial logistics services.

The company was founded in Ukraine in 2004 and operates in a further eight countries around the world. The opening of Oximio Kenya in 2021 was a significant step in expanding operations and service coverage for the entire African continent and a key enabler in reshaping the clinical supply chain.
