Ellie Webb
Founder, Caleño Drinks

Ellie is the creator and founder of Caleño, a tropical non-alcoholic free spirit. On a night out dancing a couple of years ago, she became frustrated with the lack of adventurous non-alcoholic options. After talking with friends, she realised there was an opportunity to make those options more joyful. She flew to Colombia where she visited family and was inspired by the vibrant, colourful culture, and tropical flavours. Two months after launching, Ellie landed a listing with major UK retailer, Sainsbury’s and Caleño is now stocked in around 500 of their stores.

Before launching Caleño, Ellie had a background in drinks, working for the UK’s largest drinks distributor. This taught her about the spirits making process and the hospitality industry where she was able to work closely with pubs, bars and restaurants. She also spent time at a Shopper Marketing agency, where she worked on exciting activations for brands such as Nestlé, GSK, and Estee Lauder.

Steve Osborne
Founder & Strategy Director, Osborne Pike

I’m a brand design specialist with over 35 years’ experience: creating, evolving, re-positioning and extending brands through the medium of design, and especially packaging design.
Research shows that consumers wouldn’t care if 75% of brands available today disappeared.
Would your brand make the cut?
The challenge to get your brand noticed, considered and ultimately chosen by buyers of the category is only getting harder.
How do you cut through the noise and clutter to land a compelling brand proposition that activates sales? How do you ensure that every brand touchpoint is reinforcing that compelling proposition?
The answer to that is to light a fire. In the minds of your (potential) buyers.
The fuel for that fire is the set of ‘distinctive assets’ that you (should) already have. Hopefully your packaging is home to a few.
The spark is creativity. Strategically applied.
In my talk I’ll show how truly distinctive brand assets, especially packaging, are essential to
creating a successful spirits brand, whether you’re a global giant or a local start-up.
Ready to start that fire?
