    Dr. Claudia Conen
    Secretary General, BDL German Leasing Association

    Dr Claudia Conen has been Managing Director of the BDL (Federal Association of German Leasing Companies) since 2020. Previously, she headed the ‘Promotion Policy and SME Financing’ division at the Federal Association of German Public Banks. Dr Conen holds a doctorate in business law and was a member of the executive board staff unit, which reports directly to the executive board of the state-owned development bank KfW. At KfW, she was responsible for European affairs and financial market regulation. Prior to that, she worked in KfW's legal department, where her responsibilities included ship and aircraft financing as well as infrastructure financing. Dr Conen is Vice President of the non-partisan Europa-Union Deutschland and spokesperson for its European Economic Policy Working Group. Additionally, she is a member of the European Commission's EUROPE DIRECT Speakers Pool Team.

    Pascal Layan currently serves as Deputy CEO at BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions where he is also a member of the General Management Committee. He is responsible for business development across three international business lines: Equipment & Logistics Solutions, Technology Lifecycling Solutions and Bank Leasing Services. Furthermore, Pascal is responsible for the business’ marketing and consulting activities.

    In 2012 Pascal was named global head of Equipment & Logistics Solutions and a Board Member for both CNHi Capital Europe and CLAAS Financial Services. Prior to this role, he was Head of Marketing and Solutions and between 2008 and 2011, he served as Managing Director for BNP Paribas Leasing Solutions’ Portugal operations.

    Between 2000 and 2008, Pascal was Sales Director for the Technology Solutions business line, firstly for BNP Paribas Lease Group in France, then internationally. From 1990 to 2000, he held several managerial roles within BNP Paribas entities specialising in vendor finance.

    With over 25 years of international experiences in Global Equipment Financing, ranging from Finance, Transformation Projects to Captive set up, Hugo is an Experienced Leader in the Lease Industry. Before joining the Invigors, his last role was Head of Customer Financing EMEA with Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc, building the full Customer Financing function in EMEA. Prior to that, Head of Equipment Financing & Strategic Partnerships for Canon Europe, managing a EUR 1,8 billion Lease Portfolio. Earlier, various Management Roles with Canon Netherlands, Kappa/CVC Cinven and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

    Today, Practice Director Captive Development with Invigors EMEA focusing on OEM Manufactures and their Partners to design the strategic and digital roadmap, implement new sustainable Business Models and delivering Innovative Customer Financing Solutions as Growth Driver to their Business Strategy.

    A Chartered Accountant and fluent French, German & Spanish speaker Paul was Finance Director of a major US investment Bank in France and Germany prior to moving into leasing. As a certified Six Sigma Master Black Belt and an acknowledged specialist in process improvement, Paul has delivered bottom line benefits to many European leasing & fleet operations.

     Albrecht Haase is CEO of GEFA BANK.

    Born in 1969 in Marburg, he holds a PhD in Business Administration. After completing his banking apprenticeship at Dresdner Bank and a brief stint at Metallgesellschaft in Frankfurt, Albrecht joined GEFA BANK in 2001 to support the post-merger integration following the acquisition by Société Générale from Deutsche Bank.

    With deep expertise in banking and equipment finance, Albrecht worked in or overseen nearly every key function within the company throughout his career. During his 7 years as Sales Director his key contributions were the delivery of a growth project as well as the international role-out of German located vendor partners in the transportation and industrial equipment segment. He later became Managing Director of PEMA Group, GEFA’s truck rental subsidiary, where he was responsible for the full back-office scope and the establishment of banking governance structures in the newly acquired international company.

    In 2017, Albrecht was appointed Managing Director of GEFA BANK, and in 2022 promoted to CEO. Serving customers in the real economy, contributing to humanity´s transformation challenge and staying closely connected to employees are central to Albrechts´s leadership approach.

    Steliana Moraru is Head of Growth – Financial Services at TotalSoft, where she contributes to international expansion and strategic transformation initiatives for one of the regional leaders in business software. With prior experience as Chief Operating Officer within the OTP financial group, Steliana has led major digital transformation projects and complex operations in the financial sector, while in other roles she has supported initiatives with significant regional impact.

    A PhD in Communication Sciences and a university lecturer with nearly a decade of experience, Steliana teaches courses on leadership, management, and digital innovation at the University of Bucharest and Skillab. She is the co-founder of Carierista.org, an organization that provides pro bono support for the professional reintegration of women from vulnerable backgrounds and serves on international boards and startups such as Global WomenTechLeaders and UniHub, actively promoting diversity, inclusion, and female leadership.

    Through her professional and social endeavors, Steliana bridges technology, education, and leadership to help organizations and communities grow sustainably and be prepared for the future.
