Dr. John Pellerin

Dr. John Pellerin is Deputy CTO and Vice President of GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ Worldwide Research and Development. He is responsible for GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ semiconductor technology R&D roadmap, operations, and execution in support of the CTO. From 2009 to 2015, Dr. Pellerin was Vice President of Technology Development and Yield Engineering for GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ Fab8 facility in Malta, NY. Before joining Fab8, he led GLOBALFOUNDRIES joint technology development team in the alliance relationship with IBM Microelectronics in East Fishkill, NY. Prior to GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Dr. Pellerin has held several technology development, technology transfer and manufacturing leadership roles with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in Austin, TX, and Sunnyvale, CA with international assignments in Taiwan and Germany. Dr. Pellerin earned his Ph.D. degree in Materials Science from the University of Texas at Austin, an M.S. degree from North Carolina State University and a B.S. degree from the University of Florida.
