John McGinnes
Offshore Wind Specialist, Scottish Enterprise

As part of the Offshore Wind Delivery team at Scottish Enterprise John is responsible for Developer Engagement around ScotWind and INTOG projects. He is also Category Manager for foundations and substructures. In these roles he works with developers, industry and the supply chain to maximise the economic opportunities for Scotland. John has been with Scottish Enterprise since 2006 and has worked in international marketing, international trade and in sector teams covering Energy Systems and Offshore Wind. Prior to this John worked in the private sector in international marketing for software companies.

Andy Macdonald
Director, Offshore Wind Development and Operations, ORE Catapult

Andy Macdonald is Director, Offshore Wind Development and Operations at ORE Catapult. Andy leads ORE Catapult’s collaboration with offshore wind developers including the Floating Offshore Wind Centre of Excellence (FOWCoE), O&M Centre of Excellence (OMCE) and the Offshore Wind Growth Partnership (OWGP).

He leads an engineering team dedicated to accelerating the growth of floating wind whilst reducing the risks and costs of O&M across the sector.  Following an early career in electronics and telecoms engineering, Andy has focussed on innovation and supply chain growth and has worked in renewable energy for the last fifteen years helping to develop companies in the offshore wind and tidal energy sectors.

Dr Remi Zante CEng
Head of Strategic Planning, National Manufacturing Institute Scotland

Remi is a Chartered Engineer with 24 years of experience working across manufacturing industry, academia and industrial facing research organisations. Within NMIS he is the Head of Strategic Planning, where he ensures NMIS is at the cutting-edge of manufacturing and is able to deliver transformational capabilities to Scotland and the wider UK.  He is the Senior Responsible Owner for the NMIS Strategic Wind Programme.

Logan Robb
Supply Chain and Procurement Lead, Buchan Offshore Wind Farm

Logan in the Supply Chain and Procurement Lead for the Buchan Offshore Wind Farm. His role is to deliver the Supply Chain Strategy and Procurement roadmap of the project. Logan is a Chartered Civil Engineering surveyor with ten year experience across various sectors including Water, Wastewater, O&M, Electricity transmission and most recently – Offshore Wind – on project such as Dogger Bank, Inch cape and Morecambe Wind Farm.

Gavin MacKay
Supply Chain Manager, Thistle Wind Partners

Gavin joined Thistle Wind Partners in May ’23 to develop and implement supply chain strategies for the Ayre and Bowdun projects as well as manage supply chain requirements.

He spent 20 years working in machinery manufacturing and economic development, specialising in energy industry development before joining Thistle Wind Partners.

Latterly his focus had been in building business and investment cases to support the development of key port infrastructure, large scale manufacturing facilities and wider supply chain to support the offshore wind industry. Gavin also served as a Board member of Europe’s largest offshore wind cluster organisation, DeepWind and advised the joint government/industry Scottish Offshore Wind Energy Council.
