Juan Cortés Pedrosa

Based in Madrid, Juan leads the Cities Studio in AECOM’s Southern Europe Hub. He works with national governments, municipalities, and large-scale stakeholders to develop urban strategies that catalyze healthy and successful places. An Architect by training, Juan also has a Master’s degree in Environmental Studies and is currently conducting research on regional planning for the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, focusing on development and revitalization of rural communities. Committed to promoting the ecological transition in the built environment at all levels, he also teaches sustainable design at IED Madrid and RMIT Europe, leveraging his experience as urban designer and BREEAM® Urbanism Assessor.
