Lee is responsible for Aldermore’s asset finance lending proposition. Appointed as commercial director in July 2020, he leads a team of 45 to deliver asset finance solutions of £750m per annum in support of UK SMEs. Core to his success is his drive to deliver growth through an entrepreneurial and customer focused approach that delivers consistency and excellence to the broker and customer experience alike.
Lee joined Aldermore in 2014 and was initially responsible for the wholesale and structured finance proposition, tasked with building a market leading wholesale finance team. His current role has seen his remit expand to include the broker asset finance business of the bank.
He is an asset finance veteran with over 20 years’ experience in a range of leadership roles. His career prior to Aldermore started in operations with Dresdner Kleinwort Benson’s IT vendor finance team in 2000, before moving to the financial products commercial team of ING Lease in 2003 until ING exited the UK market in 2012. He spent a short time at Investec in a business development role.
Throughout his career, Lee has gained experience in building asset finance businesses through economic cycles.
