Currently overseeing a 3 year Strategic transformational plan at MSC Cruises, reporting to the COO and BoD, impacting differed layers of the organization including corporate offices, local offices and 25 ships, for a total yearly turnaround of 5beur and responsibility over 40k FTEs.  Previously in Radisson Hotel Group overseeing more than 300 hotels in EMEA operating in different contract agreements and geographies. Managing over  3beur in TR, with EBIDTA results reaching 2% YOY GOP improvement. Transformation Program included full review of the RHG operating model, working with a team of 8 direct reports at corporate level and 12 dotted line reports in the respective geographical areas, with over 25T FTE’s responsibility. Core objective to enable the operating model of the hospitality industry 2.0, aiming to be the #1 in quality and profitability in those markets in which RHG operates. Focusing on strategic multi year projects with a strong expertise in implementing new technologies, processes and policies. Enabling sharing of best practices across the organization and facilitating the horizontal process optimization. Started my career in the events and catering industry, launched 3 start-ups in the tech-event sector and over the past 10 years has gained extensive experience in merge and integrations, process optimization and culture transformation. He got the Professional Master’s Program in Infrastructures and Railway Systems Engineering in 2017.

He works in Trenitalia as Fire safety Engineer. He is currently involved in new projects of firefighting systems and HVAC systems on Trenitalia trains.

Aurelio Rojo Garrido, PhD Electrical Engineer, has developed his professional career in both, RAILWAYS and SAFETY & SECURITY sectors, mainly in Metro of Madrid, where his filed of expertise became related to fire protection engineering and safety management aspects. As Director of Operations of Metro Madrid, he was responsible for the development of the Safety and Fire Protection and Security Programs, in a network of 300 km and 350 stations, mostly underground. As General Secretary of Alamys (Latin-American Metropolitan Railways Association) between 2001 and 2014 (Now honorary member) coordinated many safety and security Public Transport System Working Groups and Seminars.

Since 2009 he has and continues to be the President of APICI, Spanish Fire Protection Engineers Association.

Aurelio Rojo has vast experience in the academic and research world as Co-Director of the Masters in Fire Protection Engineering and professor on the Railway Masters at the School of Engineering of the Pontifical University of Comillas in Madrid, Spain, where he has had the opportunity to deal with complex conceptual models that need to be contemplated in the design and then in operation of metro systems with high levels of safety and security.”
