Mark Gilbey

Mark is a Mechanical Engineer who specialises in tunnel ventilation, fire and systems. Mark has been with WSP for 20 years and is their technical discipline lead for tunnel ventilation in Europe. Since 2012 he has been leading the development of the tunnel ventilation and tunnel systems for  HS2.

Jason G. Jones

Jason Jones has over 25 years experience in clinical research operations. He specializes in medical device and drug development research with advanced knowledge of FDA approval criteria.  Jason is the Vice President of Clinical and Scientific Affairs at LivaNova, a medical device company.  He has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and is dual certified in clinical and regulatory affairs and is an advocate for advanced clinical research education.

Stan Watowich

Dr. Watowich is inventor of Ridgeline Therapeutics’ technology, upon which he founded the company. He serves as the company’s interim CEO to help with the launch and capitalization of the company.Additionally, he is Associate Professor of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch and recent director of the University of Texas (UT) System’s state-wide entrepreneurship program developed in partnership with UT McCombs School of Business. He is an accomplished educator, researcher, serial inventor, entrepreneur, and developer of innovative world-class resources.

Shanna Jackson

Experienced Clinical Operations professional with a demonstrated history of working in the pharmaceutical industry across multiple functions (research, development, operations, and outreach). I have had the privilege of being intimately involved in the development of a global orphan Oncology program from IND to NDA/MAA, commercialization, and post-market life cycle management. Ian Parkhouse

Ian is the HS2 Fire and Rescue Service Engagement Lead. Ian is responsible for all liaison and engagement  requirements between the Fire and Rescue Service (FRS) and HS2, he specifically manages and coordinates the Qualitative Design Review process between Contractors, HS2 and the FRS  to achieve agreement on the infrastructure design from a fire safety and emergency intervention perspective. Ian has been working on the project since 2018, previously to this he was employed by a local authority Fire Service for 31+ years.

Jason Raines

Jason currently serves as the VP, Data and Digital Health Technology at Apellis.  Jason oversees the creation of clinical and market insights to support Apellis clinical development and commercialization efforts. Jason has over 23 years’ experience in clinical research.  Over the course of his career, Jason led the development of enterprise data and technology strategies, best in class Data Management and Statistical Programming organizations, and implemented globally-deployed clinical technologies.

Prior to joining Apellis, Jason was Head, Biometrics Data Sciences and Operations at Biogen.  This Biometrics function comprised of Clinical Data Management, Statistical Programming, Data Standards and Governance, Data Analytics and Innovation, and Business Performance Management.

Prior to joining Biogen, Jason was Head, Global Data Operations at Novartis, Alcon Division, which included Clinical Data Management, Statistical Programming, Clinical Systems, and Standards.  He also served as the R&D IT Portfolio Coordinator responsible for oversight and administration of all R&D IT-related activities. Lastly, Jason served as the Novartis EDC/CDMS Modernization Steering Committee chair and was an active member in Novartis cross-divisional workstreams responsible for developing Digital, Real World Evidence, Big Data, and Clinical Data and Reporting Transformation strategies.

Jason holds Bachelor’s and Masters of Science degrees from the University of Texas, and earned a Masters degree in Biostatistics from the University of North Texas Health Science Center. Jason is a frequent speaker and contributor to Artificial Intelligence, Data Management, and Statistical Programming-focused conferences.
