Matthew has worked in the consumer goods market since 2003 where he helped develop the GSS forum, predecessor to current show. Since 2014 he has been responsible for editorial for 4 trade magazines: Packaging Today, Converting Today, Beverage Packaging Innovation and Packaging & Converting Intelligence. Matthew has moderated roundtables at conferences on all aspects of packaging, supply chain and safety of protection of products.
Mike is a marketing veteran with almost 25 years of experience in marketing to the enterprise, government, and consumer markets. His background is the marketing of technology, telecommunications, and business to business products. Prior to joining DSS, Mike was the founder and managing partner of Marketative Consulting which he started in 2004. Marketative was a marketing consulting firm focused on building marketing programs based upon quantitative metrics for technology companies and startups. Mike has also served in a variety of marketing roles for emerging and Fortune 500 companies including marketing leadership positions with UUNET Technologies, Eyecast Corporation, and Cable & Wireless. In these organizations Mike was responsible for marketing strategy, brand management, product marketing, product management, and marketing communications.
At DSS, Mike is responsible for marketing and product management. He is tasked with gathering feedback from customers and prospects and distilling it into solutions which solve the difficult brand protection problems currently challenging the market.
Jim Reiman (Rí-man) has more than 40 years of experience in paper, packaging and printing. He spent the first half of his career at Westvaco (West-váyko) Corporation (now WestRock) in a variety of Sales and Marketing positions. He has worked in brand protection and product integrity since 2001 when he became Vice-President Sales & Marketing for Westvaco Brand Security. After a short time at DuPont Authentication Systems, Jim became Director of Sales for Sun Chemical Brand Protection in 2005. He and his coworkers at Sun Chemical have extensive experience protecting a wide range of consumer products globally.
Zihan has been working for Yellow Brand Protection for over six years, with time spent both at the Sweden and China office locations. She has been instrumental in building the largest Shanghai based brand protection team of highly skilled Client Managers and Analysts.
An expert on Chinese trademark law, Zihan has extensive knowledge in Chinese trademark protection, as well as patent and other intangible assets. She has also been involved in a number of successful online to offline cases where a brand’s intellectual property rights have been infringed. Zihan has close working relationships with many of the well-known Chinese online selling platforms, such as marketplaces and messaging apps, which proves extremely beneficial for supporting client’s brand protection programs.
As the Yellow Brand Protection Asia Director, Zihan continues to develop the business in Asia, by effectively providing global online brand protection schemes to clients from different industries.
Applying the state-of-the-art technology to clean the internet from IP infringements is Zihan’s ultimate aim.
Dr. Christine Lemaitre was born in Gießen, Germany in 1975 and studied structural engineering at the University of Stuttgart from 1995 to 2000. After working in the USA for two years, she started working at the Institute of Lightweight Structures Design and Construction at the University of Stuttgart as a research and teaching assistant in the area of adaptive lightweight structures in 2003.
Claude Touikan is Co Founder & Executive Director of Lead 8. A Madagascar-born Chinese-Canadian, Claude has dedicated his career to the practice of architecture and design. Claude is a registered member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects.
Emma joined British Land in June 2014 and as Head of Operations she has responsibility for the development of the Group’s assets at Canada Water.
As Director, Design & Project Management for Marriott International Global design Europe I deliver design and project management quality assurance services for assigned Marriott brand projects on an established schedule, within approved budget, and in compliance with brand strategy, design, and quality standards.
Nicola’s passion and creative flare derives from her deep rooted international background, continued travel experiences and at the core, her love of different cultures. It is through this exploration that she is able to sensitively design and create memorable customer experiences.
Nicola has successfully managed projects of varying sizes and complexity where touching on all aspects of design continues to inspire and influence. Nicola is a NCIDQ certified and LEED AP accredited Senior Interior Designer with extensive professional experience in the hospitality and commercial interior design community. An enthusiastic, creative and energetic team player, she has the ability to adapt to an ever changing design environment.
Cees has a long history in the real estate and building industry and is currently working for EDGE Technologies (an OVG Real Estate company), a leading real estate tech company from The Netherlands and rapidly growing in Europe and United States.
After a long career abroad when working for corporate companies in the international construction industry (Italy, The Netherlands, Scandinavia), he became an expert in design, architecture and sustainability.
Cees joined OVG Real Estate 10 years ago to be the head of the Sustainability Center. His first project was the first LEED Platinum TNT HQ and the first sustainable lab/office/factory, the Danone Innovation Center, both initiated by his team. The well-known office building The Edge in Amsterdam was the best example of smart and sustainable development and become a blueprint of the future of working.
Today Cees is one of the initiators of the new company EDGE Technologies, a tech scale-up of OVG. With future EDGE buildings in Berlin, Amsterdam and the US, this seems to be the answer to disruption in the global real estate market.
Cees is member of Dutch Architecture Circle, founder of the Archiprix International, member of Corenet Global, Dutch Green Building Council and the Sustainability Council of the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Moreover, Cees is active in the Future of Construction group of World Economic Forum (WEF). He gave lectures at the Technical University in Delft, University of London and University of Brussels.
