Monica Stancu leads the Diversity and Inclusion work at Lloyd’s, the world’s biggest insurance and reassurance marketplace. Previously, she has worked in diversity and inclusion at the Royal Academy of Engineering, Sodexo and F. Hoffman La Roche.
Monica has also worked in international affairs and human rights at the European Medicines Agency (EU agency) and the United Nations. She is the author of the book “Building Diversity and Inclusion: From Commitment to Action.”
She holds an MA in Women’s History from Sarah Lawrence College, USA and was a visiting scholar at the Institute for Research on Women, Gender and Sexuality at Columbia University in the City of New York.
Monica has been selected as a Global Champion for Women’s Economic Empowerment by UN Women, has won a WeAreTheCity 2020 Rising Stars award and has been listed as a 2023 and 2022 D&I Inspirational leader by D&I Leaders. She is also a One Young World Ambassador and a mentor at Migrant Leaders.
Julie Miller joined BNP Paribas’ Corporate and Social Responsibility department 7 years ago focusing on CSR sector policies covering the bank’s financing and investing activities. She is now Deputy Head of the ESG Risks and Opportunities team in charge the Bank’s ESG strategy and commitments.
Julie joined BNP Paribas in 2007 and held several positions in coverage and loan structuring in the Corporate and Institutional Banking division prior to taking up her current role.
Daniela Villegas is an Origination Director for the UK Lease business at ABN AMRO. Passionate about all aspects of sustainability, she focuses on funding hard assets for various sectors such as Transport, Logistics and Construction, while helping clients transition into a more sustainable future.
Dr. Gressel’s career has spanned across cleantech and purpose-driven startups, venture capital investing and strategic ESG consulting. His current initiative, ECO-OS, is an online software solution for ESG accounting and intelligence which he co-founded in 2016. In 2001 he founded his first company, Assif-Strategies, is a pioneering environmental accounting, strategy and innovation firm. Since then he’s co-founded, advised and invested with numerous early-stage cleantech, energy and food companies, including: Incredo (formerly: DouxMatok), Elysium Carbon, EnStorage, Panoramic Power (now part of Centrica) and TransAlgae. Noam earned his Ph.D. at the University of California at Berkeley & a B.Sc.Agri at the Hebrew University.
