Leslie Grimes

Leslie brings a 360o perspective on clinical trials from her 20+ years of experience in the industry from academia to biotech, phase I unit to SMO oversight, and into the CRO world where she is currently a member of the ICON Biotech Oncology TA Leadership Team. She is passionate about partnering with biotech to model complementary supports for trial execution custom to each organization’s needs and ensuring equitable access to trials for all patients. Leslie holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from The Johns Hopkins University and is the chair of ICON’s global Disability Awareness Network (DAWN) community group.

Matthew Chard

Matthew Chard is a seasoned professional renowned for his expertise in sales and business development across diverse industries. Currently, as the EMEA Sales Director for Dry Ice Manufacturing Systems at Cold Jet, Matthew plays a pivotal role in driving sales within industries such as Industrial Gas, Food Processing, Logistics, Life Sciences, and Food Home Delivery. His dedication to sustainable solutions and customer collaboration has cemented his reputation as a leader in the field, with a focus on enhancing product quality, reducing emissions, and optimizing cost efficiencies.

Before joining Cold Jet, Matthew worked with two Silicone Valley start-ups in Biotechnology and AI, securing business with world leading pharmaceutical, home care and fragrance companies. Prior to his consultancy venture, Matthew held several key positions at Tetra Pak, a global leader in food processing and packaging solutions. With over five years of experience, including roles as Business Development Manager, Processing Sales Manager for Prepared Food, and Key Account Manager, Matthew excelled in driving sales growth and forging strategic partnerships. His tenure at Tetra Pak solidified his expertise in food technology and customer-centric solutions, setting the stage for his impactful contributions at Cold Jet and beyond.

Lourenço Arriaga

With a 12-year career in beer, Lourenço has been the European Marketing Director for Leffe, Europe’s biggest specialty brand, for the last 3 years. He’s been at AB InBev for the last 6 years, across multiple marketing roles.

 

Before that, Lourenço spent almost 6 years at Super Bock, in multiple brand management roles. He led brand development for Super Bock in multiple international markets, more notably in China, where the brand found huge success in the Fujian and Zhejiang provinces.

 

He holds a Business Management degree from Kingston University in London, and worked in several other industries, including cars and telecoms, before entering the beer industry.
