Bastian Gehnke

“Water is my element” says Bastian Gehnke, who started his career in the waters as a voluntary lifeguard at the German Lifeguard Association DLRG before he decided in 2007 to continue with a degree in maritime and ship operations onboard of commercial vessels of a German shipping company. After earning nautical and technical licenses in shipping at the seafaring school in Flensburg, he earned the graduate degree in maritime logistics and ship operations by the University of Flensburg. In 2014, Bastian joined Navis as a product manager for vessel and fleet performance. He decisively contributed to the design of the Kaleris vessel and fleet performance software Bluetracker. In the past years he has grown the portfolio of cloud applications for fleet performance as well as cargo operations.

Matthew Confeld, PharmD, PhD

Matthew has 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical science. His experience spans preclinical drug development of environment responsive nanoparticles for various solid tumor indications, serves as a translational advisor to a National Institute of Health center of biologic research in pancreatic cancer, and has extensive experience in pharmacy including clinical pharmacogenomics for a large healthcare system and specialty pharmacy management. He provides consulting-like services to sponsors across phases of development from preclinical through NDA.

Andreas Beust

Dr. Andreas Beust is Chief Executive Officer of the Contract Research Organization (CRO) GCP-Service International Ltd. & Co. KG (GCP-Service), which performs national and international clinical trials for medicinal products, medical devices and in-vitro diagnostics. In addition, Andreas is President of the Association of International CROs (AICROS), which is a unique network of small and mid-sized CROs that allow global coverage with local knowledge and a more familial atmosphere and higher flexibility.

Andreas is intimately familiar with requirements of clinical trials on European and international level and has participated in more than 90 trials to date, including five led as trial Sponsor. He gained experience in statistical consulting and trial optimization as Biostatistician. After switching to the role of CEO for GCP-Service International and President of AICROS, his focus shifted to early study consultation from a logistical, regulatory and quality risk management point of view. Connecting small and medium-sized BioTech and Medical Device companies with passionate people and tailored solutions around the globe is the calling he pursues just as much as optimizing trial designs – all in an effort to make clinical trials accessible.

Guy Wilcox

Guy heads up the Consulting team at Unipro, a role he has held for 4 years now, this involves working with his team of consultants to understand, define and design digital transformation initiatives for clients, often in the wealth management and insurance sectors.

Throughout a 20-year career Guy has had several digital strategy roles, mostly on the agency side, in which projects by their nature are focused on user-engagement and geared to ensure gains in operational efficiencies.

Guy has a passion for strategic design within Digital development projects, utilising digital service design techniques to ensure teams can design and build products at pace and with quality.
