Javier Sesma

Javier Sesma is Vice President of Business Development globally at TK Elevator where is responsible to support the growth and business expansion of TKE business with global Key Accounts, major projects and strategic partnerships.

Javier Sesma has +25 years of experience on Business Development, innovation and internationalization. After starting his professional career at Andersen consulting with international assignments in Puerto Rico and USA, has spent the majority of his professional experience at TK Elevator (formerly thyssenkrupp Elevator) where has acquainted 23 years on  elevator, escalators, airport systems and digitalization with responsibilities at Sales, Operations, Services and Corporate, and international assignments in USA, UK and Spain .

In the last 9 years, he has lead the global team at TK Elevator Innovation Center, which has contributed significantly in the success and Global product launch of some of TKEs innovative technologies, like iwalk, ACCEL, MULTI, Automatic Docking Assitance (ADA) for Airport Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBBs), MAX IoT cloud platform or HoloLinc among others. Generating more than 80 patents worldwide and contributing significantly to position TK Elevator within the innovation leaders in urban mobility and digitalization.

Passionate for construction, engineering, enterprenuership and people development is co-inventor of +10 patents on vertical and horizontal transportation technologies, is frequent speaker on international conferences and press spokesperson for Innovation at TK Elevator. Javier Sesma holds Master of Science (M.Sc) on Industrial Engineering by Politechchnical Engineering University of Gijon (Spain) and University of Glasgow, Master of Advance Studies (M.A.S) in Business Administration by University of Oviedo and Post Doc studies at ESMT of Berlin.

Dr Joerg Matthias Suttan

Aeronautical engineer, specialising in aerodynamic measurement systems and sensors. Diverse management positions in aircraft and jet engine manufacturing, cooling systems, centrifugal and axial fans for industrial and tunnel/metro applications. Currently responsible for global business development of underground infrastructure ventilation within Howden.

Florian Michelin

Ventsim

Mechanical engineer, specialising in computational fluid dynamics. Started as a software developer at Chasm Consulting (now owned by Howden), developing new features and improving simulation algorithms in Ventsim™. Leading to developing Pumpsim and becoming product manager for Pumpsim, trainer and consultant using Ventsim and Pumpsim. Now, manager for Howden Ventsim Australia, responsible for development, sales, training, and consulting activities for Ventsim and Pumpsim products.

Ian Wright

Ian Wright leads the Food and Drink Federation (FDF) – the representative voice for companies and trade associations across food and drink.  Before joining FDF in March 2015 he spent 14 years with Diageo plc – the world’s largest drinks business.  There he was the member of the executive committee responsible for the company’s reputation as it became one of the world’s most trusted and respected companies.  Earlier, he worked for Boots The Chemist and Mars Confectionery and had spells in consultancy and politics.  He chairs the Food & Drink Sector Council – the Government’s industry advisory body.  He also chairs the Food & Drink Trade Association Round Table.  Ian received a CBE for political and public service in August 2015.

Jörg Thilo Fischer

With his expertise on cannabinoids Jörg Thilo Fischer supports Symrise´s Business Unit Aroma Molecules in technical questions around this fascinating group of active ingredients. Furthermore he is the responsible person in terms of narcotics law at Symrise.

After his study of pharmacy Jörg worked several years in a public pharmacy before joining Symrise in 2013. Here, he accompanied the cannabinoids project in different positions for the last years, thus gaining a broad overview on different aspects, such as on synthesis and analysis, piloting, receptor screenings or regulatory affairs.

Mario Abela

Mario Abela is a Director, Redefining Value at WBCSD where he leads projects aimed at transforming performance management, governance and assurance to make sustainability an integral part of mainstream business and investor decision-making. Mario is a CPA and Chartered Management Accountant, his expertise are in corporate reporting and he has held senior management positions in both the private and public sectors in Australia, Belgium, the United Kingdom and the US.  He has extensive regulatory and standard setting experience.  Mario is a visiting professor at IESEG School of Management in Paris where he teaches in the Masters in Accounting, Audit and Control program.
