Robyn Griffith

Robyn C. Griffith has been in the Pharmaceutical R&D industry for over 16 years.  She began her career as an Emergency Department R.N., became a Certified Nurse Midwife and worked in that field for over 6 years and then joined Quintiles in 2004 as a CRA.  It was at Quintiles that she developed into a Senior Project Manager and has continued her career in this exciting field at other CROs.  Her most recent experience was as the Regional Head of Biotech at a competing CRO.  She recently joined PRA to help the Biotech division continue to grow in alignment with the upcoming merger.  Robyn earned her Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from Austin Peay State University and her Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado.  She resides in Colorado Springs, Colorado with her husband and family and enjoys figure skating, snowboarding and enjoying the beautiful outdoors!

Behyad Jafari

Chandmani Makhval

With a background in Computer Science, Chandmani begun his career in data management, dissemination and visualisation in a large scale migratory bird-monitoring program spanning from the Rocky Mountains to the Chihuahuan Desert of the North America.  Following, he has been working in the corporate world leading IT projects as well as large scale digital transformation projects namely in Mongolia, Thailand and Australia within Banpu Public Company Limited [an international energy provider].  Projects include financial insights portal running on top of an ERP system, Cloud solution implementations, IIoT data acquisition and real-time performance monitoring of equipment.  Chandmani is an evangelist of digital transformation at Centennial, a Banpu subsidiary in NSW, Australia.

David Bicknell

David Bicknell is a principal analyst in GlobalData’s Thematic Intelligence team. He has over 30 years’ experience in writing about and analyzing the technology sector, both from the vendor and the user perspective, and both in the UK and the US. His career in technology journalism and analysis has included detailed research into IT projects and he has co-authored a book, ‘Crash’, with investigative journalist Tony Collins, which explored why and how IT projects go wrong. David and Tony have also co-authored a novel on the life of computer pioneer Charles Babbage. Prior to joining Thematic Intelligence, David spent six years editing a GlobalData title exploring the use of technology in the UK public sector. He has previously worked for Computer Weekly, and for the BBC in Leicester. David has a strong interest in art and art history. In September 2022, he undertook a two-year, part-time Undergraduate Certificate in Art History course at the University of Oxford. He has recently begun a similar two-year Undergraduate Diploma in Art History course, again at the University of Oxford.

Dean Adams

Dean has a 20+ years’ broad based background in a wide range of mineral resources including oil & gas, iron ore, coal, gold, uranium, magnesium, oil shale, copper, nickel and aluminum.  He has been intimately involved in a vast range of resource projects globally, both as a strategist and as an Owner’s Representative.  Dean’s strong experience in modularisation of major projects has led to undertakings as Project Manager & Peer Review for Newcrest Mining in British Columbia C$150m, as well as Adani Mining Project A$16 billion, Queensland.  Furthermore, as Deputy Project Director for the Owners Team (Hancock/GVK)—Alpha Coal Project A$17 billion, Queensland.  Overall, he has been involved in projects to the value of AUD$13.5B in remote areas of the World and has extensive cross discipline expertise covering engineering, project (evaluation – design/construction) and operations (exploration – production) functions.

Dr Carlos Tapia

Dr Carlos Tapia is a Senior Mining Engineer with over 15 years of experience in mine planning, production, software, technology development, telecommunications, market intelligence, research, and investment environments. He has acted in various senior roles, including planning engineer, project lead consultant, general manager, project valuation leader and principal technology engineer – a diverse skill set affording holistic knowledge of all aspects of the mining industry, from mine to port.

Carlos holds a PhD in Mining Engineering-Mineral Economics from UNSW Sydney, specialising in AI, Machine Learning and Stream Data Mining in mining for digitalisation, automation, optimisation, forecasting and pattern recognition purposes.

Jandro Paxton

Jandro joined the Area C Leadership team in August 2019 as Manager for BOS Deployment (Site Coach).

Previous to this role, Jandro has held a range of operational leadership and project delivery roles in South African mining and industrial water treatment operations. More recently, and since coming to Australia, Jandro has worked in Management Consulting and Improvement Transformations for BHP Rail and Mining Area C.

Jandro is a Chartered Chemical Engineet and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with over 14 years’ experience in Processing, Maintenance, Project Deilivery and Improvement Transformations. He has worked across Base Metal and Iron Ore resource industries, as well as Industrial Water Treatment.

Jordan Morrissey

Mr Jordan Morrissey joined Resolute in 2020 as General Manager People & Sustainability and is responsible for all aspects of the Company’s People & HSSEC divisions and the execution of the Group sustainability strategy. An experienced mining professional, Mr Morrissey has a Masters in Organisational Psychology from Curtain University and has over 15 years global mining experience across Africa, PNG, Solomon Islands and Australia. Prior to joining Resolute, Mr Morrissey held the Chief People Officer role for Syrah Resources Limited.

Kane Blay

Kane is a process control engineer experienced in leading technical teams in process operations, design and optimisation. He has held various roles during an 11 year tenure with Newmont Corporation and holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree majoring in both Instrumentation and Control and Industrial Computer Systems and a Master of Engineering degree majoring in Engineering Management.

Under Kane’s guidance, in 2018 Newmont established the Process Control Operations Support Hub.  The Hub drives value-focused initiatives by streamlining process control systems, procedures and monitoring tools.
