Martina has held several global leadership roles in ESG strategy, product development and innovation including Senior Vice President, ESG and Engagement Strategy at Moody’s, Global Head of ESG Index Products and Research at S&P DJI, Managing Director of Sustainable Investments Partners Ltd. and Vice President of ESG Solutions at MSCI. Prior to this, she worked in (ESG) product, research and engagement roles at Insight Investment, F&C AM and at Deutsche Bank AG.
Martina has been a member of multiple sustainable finance associations and policy working groups at an EU and an international level. Currently, Martina is part of The Global ESG Leaders Forum – UK/EU/China, the European Law Institute’s Sustainable Finance Advisory Committee, and the Enterprise Data Management Council’s Working Group on ESG Data, Innovation, Technology and Metrics.
Martina is a visiting fellow in sustainable finance at University of Zurich and Henley Business School. She has an MBA certificate in finance and business from LSBF / UK, and a MA in Law and Human Sciences from University of Frankfurt in Germany. She is a fellow member of the Institute for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS) UK, a honorary doctoral fellow of the Institute for Certified Risk Management Professionals (ICRMP) UK, and an alumnus of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes). Martina is a public speaker in sustainable investing and has co-authored a range of ESG and Fintech books, including “The AI Book” (2020).
Alex is the Co-Chief Investment Officer & COO of Goleta Fund SCA SICAV-RAIF, a family of investment funds based in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Having joined the Firm in 2016, he has roles both in the Board of Directors and in the Investment Committee.
As the lead portfolio manager of the Goleta Alternative Fund, our newly launched flagship fund, he was responsible for designing and implementing the strategy of the Goleta Alternative Fund.
Goleta Alternative seeks to provide investors with access to several uncorrelated return streams, aiming to generate long-term alpha, limiting risk and volatility by minimising correlation to traditional financial markets. Not interested in speculative ventures or short-term gains, instead, we look at secular “supertrends” which will shape the future. Accordingly, our objective is to diversify our investments to range from private equity, venture capital, clean energy, healthcare, biotech, ESG projects, technology, real estate, forestry, farmland, and various lending strategies.
An Attorney-at-Law by training, he previously worked began his career with the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at White & Case LLP, a prestigious international law firm based in New York. Having lived in various global cities in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Latin America, he brings to the table an international perspective.
Rich Nelson has over 15 years of clinical and commercial distribution and logistics experience. In his current position at PCI, Rich works with clients to provide seamless global distribution for their investigational drug products, ensuring cost-effective and time-efficient delivery throughout the clinical trials process. Rich has a B.A in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement from Monmouth University.
Brian Dempster has over 25 years of clinical development experience, gained across a variety of therapeutic areas and geographical regions. He began his career as a CRA before being accepted to Amgen’s Leadership and Management Program. During a decade at Amgen, Brian held program leadership positions in Oncology, Endocrinology and Bone Health in Europe, Canada and the US.
In 2014 Brian joined Vital Therapies (VTL) where he was instrumental in the creation and execution of clinical development strategy, overseeing the entire Phase II and Phase III programs of VTLs combined device and biotherapeutic system for the treatment of liver failure.
Utilizing Fusion eClinical Suite in partnership with Axiom: Before joining Axiom, Brian led the clinical development group at Endologix, which oversaw the global team involved in the pre-approval and post-market clinical development of Endologix’s products, serving patients with a need for abdominal aortic aneurysm sealing and repair.
Brian has a thorough understanding of the clinical development process and has used this to successfully bring products to market. This includes leading teams through several regulatory inspections in relation to submissions, to FDA, MHRA and PMDA. Brian has a particular interest and passion for trial documentation standards, having forged the path for introduction and transition of several eTMF programs.
Deepu Joseph is currently serving as the vice president and global head of clinical data management with Quanticate and has over fifteen years experiencing in managing and driving clinical data management operations delivery across major CROs.
Robert brings significant experience onboard in expanding businesses geographically while promoting diversity and inclusion within. He gathered his experience in healthcare, telecommunications, IT and system integration. He worked at companies such as T-Mobile, T-Systems and Philips. As the Global Sales Transformation Leader, Robert successfully designed new business models and drove transformation. Based on his extensive experience, he is a firm believer in teamwork and he is constantly seeking superb team players for RotaChrom. The key to his success is building organizations with strong cultures of commitment, innovation, and drive to overcome challenges while maintaining a positive work environment. He loves spreading great business practices and helping startup ideas to grow and later to scale.
Amanda specialises in developing efficient and effective processes for clinical trial oversight and increasing customer satisfaction. A dynamic professional, Amanda has almost 25 years of operational and commercial experience in the clinical trial industry at both pharmaceutical companies and CROs. She began her career as statistician, moving with time to project management and customer relationship roles.
During her career, Amanda has built and implemented numerous cost-effective solutions for pharmaceutical companies to help them to increase data quality, shorten timelines and reduce costs.
Amanda holds a bachelor’s degree in Statistics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
