Lachlan is a rail systems fire engineer with more than 18 years’ rail engineering experience.
His career has been shaped by roles in rolling stock manufacturing, rolling stock consulting, rail system consulting, and most recently in rail operations. He has worked on projects delivered into 12 different countries. Lachlan has worked with multiple rail authorities to define their in-house fire safety specifications, and he was author of AS 7529, Australia’s first national standard for rolling stock fire safety.
Lachlan is currently Metro Trains Melbourne’s Fire & Facilities Engineering Manager, providing fire safety assurance and advice for rolling stock, station and tunnel projects, and developing emergency procedures for rail operations.

In his role at SDL Chris McCourt helps sponsors and CROs to communicate with patients, physicians and other stakeholders in global clinical trials – in their language. SDL’s translation support for clinical studies allows global clinical professionals to recruit, enrol and retain patients more effectively; to promote effective communication among investigators; to report results and critical milestones of studies; and to monitor product safety internationally.
For 7 years Chris has worked with some of SDL’s most strategic clients in the Life Sciences space, with particular focus on Global Clinical, Regulatory & Patient Recruitment Programs, and more recently a special interest in MDR/IVDR regulations and their impact on the medical device industry.
Clemens Pieger is a banker formed from the scratch. He began his career as trainee at Deutsche Bank AG in 1985 where he successively held later on the positions of head of a Personal Banking branch, head of an international desk at Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A.’s private bank and Branch Manager in Starnberg (Bavaria). In 2001, he joined Societe Generale Bank & Trust Luxembourg S.A. as head of International Desk (Northern Europe, then Europe and Russia). Since 2017, he has been Chief Client Officer and Senior Banker of Societe Generale Bank & Trust Luxembourg S.A. He joined Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland in November 2019 as Head of Zurich branch.
Clemens Pieger holds a degree in Business Administration (Diplom Kaufmann) from the University of Munich and has completed the Executive Programme in Wealth Management at the Luxembourg School of Finance.
Mario Alves is a proven expert in retail and private banking, with a special focus on investment and advisory in MiFID related markets and products. His expertise combines frontline experiences as advisor and manager within several financial service institutions, as well as in-depth strategical and technological understanding gained as consultant and leader in advisory and software companies.
He has a ‘crush’ on needs-oriented sales and believes that Digital Wealth Management will become the new market standard. Building bridges between technology, business and people represents his passion.

Adrián is a Mechanical Systems Engineer and has studied for a Master’s Degree in Railway Systems from the ICAI, Madrid. His focus at TALGO includes Friction Brake Systems, Fire Protection Systems, Systems Requirement Definitions & Traceability, and Cost & Schedule Management, and he has worked on key projects including ‘Los Angeles Metro A650 Overhauling Project’, and ‘High Speed Train for RENFE’.
