After studying vehicle engineering in Cologne, Germany, specialized in track guided vehicles as well as traction technologies, and working for Deutsche Bahn AG, he joined FOGTEC beginning 2001 to develop the market of rolling stock applications for FOGTEC.
As Chief Product Officer at AiCure, Michelle Marlborough is responsible for the product direction, definition and delivery of the company’s award-winning artificial intelligence platform. With over 24 years of experience in life sciences and software development, Michelle has been at the forefront of transforming clinical trials through innovative technology and analytics and previously held the positions of Vice President of Product Management at Veeva and Vice President of Product Strategy at Medidata Solutions. Before making the shift to the technology sector, Michelle worked in data management roles at GlaxoSmithKline and AstraZeneca. There she experienced firsthand the industry’s struggle with outdated processes and systems. Michelle earned her bachelors of science degree in biology and mathematics from Coventry University.
Simon Bumfrey is the Head of Relationship Banking at Silicon Valley Bank in the UK and EMEA.
With over 30 years commercial banking experience encompassing various relationship management, credit risk and leadership roles, Simon has focused specifically on the Technology & Media sector during his career witnessing first-hand the technology revolution. Whether a technology or life sciences business Simon is dedicated to helping clients move their bold ideas forward fast from startup phase through to listed status and the journey in between. Simon joined Silicon Valley Bank in 2017, he has also held a Chartered Institute of Bankers Qualification since 1993.
