Sheikh Ahmad Rabily bin Sheikh Abdul Rahman has 18 years of diverse experience in the oil and gas industry in both downstream and upstream which has equipped him with a strong grasp of the dynamics of the business. He remains steadfast and believe there are still a lot ways and opportunities to be unlocked in this volatile times.
He was stationed in Cairo, Egypt a couple of years back, under one of the PETRONAS’ international outfit and tasked with managing the host country, co-sellers and JV partners. The Cairo tour saw him predominantly managing the commercial aspects by representing the main shareholders in negotiating with international lenders of Egyptian LNG (ELNG) on contracts deviation and also managing the stakeholders from various part of the world. Apart from commercial affairs, he has also gained substantive comprehension in domestic gas market, petrochemical operations, exploration planning, marketing and sales in multifarious outfit within PETRONAS.
With his passion on digital, plus a mixture of experience, the Certified Change Management practitioner is now being entrusted to lead the change intervention plan for Maintenance Excellence initiatives which include various range of Data Drive Maintenance initiatives. He has also led the development of the framework enhancement on Operations Excellence Management System (OEMS) to further strengthen the organization’s position as a world class operator. The new system has now been embraced as one of the most significant sources of reference in guiding the organization towards the digitization journey.
