Jillian MacBryde

Jill MacBryde is Professor of Innovation and Operations Management at Strathclyde University. She is also Co-Director of the ESRC funded Made Smarter Network Plus.

Jill is recognised for her work in the fields of manufacturing, innovation, performance measurement and business improvement. And is known for working across disciplines and particularly bridging the link between technology and social science.

As well as working with the ISCF Made Smarter Innovation team, Jill is principal investigator on an ESRC funded project, investigating the impact that the Covid-19 crisis has had on UK manufacturing and to identify priorities for renewal through innovation. She collaborates with colleagues in the National Manufacturing Institute, Scotland on this project, and is currently developing scenarios for Manufacturing in Scotland, 2036.

Jill is an active member of the Innovation UK/ESRC Innovation Caucus and sits on the advisory board for Future Flight.
