Carl Wee

Carl Wee is Vice President, Technical Services, APAC for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and leads the technical services and design management functions for the region. He had previously served as Wyndham’s Senior Director, Design, Planning & Construction, Greater China.

Carl heads a diverse integrated Technical Services team across APAC which comprises of 2 subregions: Greater China as well as South-East Asia & Pacific Rim. He is responsible for a development pipeline of more than 450 properties in APAC across 20 brands and tiers, including both Franchised and Managed properties. Under his leadership, his team has successfully opened more than 300 hotels in the last 4 years. In addition, he also develops regional design strategies for respective brands to keep them competitive within the APAC market.

Carl has more than 20 years of experience in design and project management, as well as acquisition and divestments of various asset types. His past portfolio in renowned international real estate and hospitality companies included global projects in Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia; spanning Hospitality, Residential, Commercial, Industrial and Retail projects.

Kathy Benton

Kathy Benton is a seasoned professional with 20 years of experience in clinical research. Her clinical research journey started in 2004 as a Regulatory Coordinator/Study Coordinator at Oregon Health & Science University, working in the Women’s Healthcare and General Surgery.  In 2011, Kathy became a CRA and worked at various CRO’s for over 10 years. In 2022, Kathy moved to the Site Engagement role, dedicated to Eli Lilly and in 2023, moved to Takeda as a Study Site Engagement Lead. She is passionate in fostering relationships with external and internal partners to ensure  sites have a positive trial experience.

Chuanbo Xu

Chuanbo is currently the Senior Director, Head of Clinical Development at Freenome, Inc. Prior to this, he has worked on the clinical research and development of pharmaceutical, medical device and IVD products in a few companies, including Glaxo, Abbott, GRAIL, etc. In the current role, he leads the department of high caliber clinical research professionals with multi-disciplinary functions and expertise focusing on design, launch and conduct of large scale clinical studies to support early cancer screening products using blood samples.

Dr Kiri Granger

Kiri is an internationally-recognised expert in the design of clinical trials for CNS disorders, particularly schizophrenia. As Director of Neuroscience at Cambridge Cognition, Kiri provided consultancy to over 50 drug development companies on more than 100 clinical trials and was the lead scientist on a number of successful programmes. Kiri chaired the ICSTM working group on schizophrenia clinical trials and is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham, Department of Psychology where she is involved in on-going collaborations in schizophrenia and anxiety disorders.
