Dr. Parapiteva is an experienced regulatory professional with over 24 years in the pharmaceutical industry/clinical research organizations. She has extensive experience in managing complex projects, with a strong focus on building and maintaining relationships at both company and industry level from an operational role within the organization.  She has actively participated in departmental preparation for the EU CTR implementation and is one of ICON’s SMEs on this topic.

Lidya Domínguez’s working years have always been related to clinical research. She graduated in nutrition and human dietic and master’s coursed in project management and several expert courses in Clinical Trials and Regulatory Procedures. She is the Head of the Clinical Research Department at Sermes CRO, an International Contract Research Organization with headquarters in Madrid, Spain. Oncology and cellular and advanced therapies are amongst her main therapeutic experience, but during her large experience in pharma, she has worked with several TAs, such as endocrinology, vaccines, infectious diseases, etc. She is an expert in European Clinical Trial Regulation. She has been involved in the CTIS project from the right beginning, as part of EMA’s 15-people working group since 2017 for the development of this new European clinical trials portal. She has been certified by the EMA as CTIS Master Trainer. Lidya’s team at Sermes CRO achieved the first submission of a clinical trial through CTIS in Spain, in March 2022. Since then, they have never stopped submitting and transitioning clinical trials via CTIS.

• Dr. Wasif had a long career with Abbott laboratories (US based company) in different senior management roles.
• Dr. Wasif has delivered lectures in large # of international conferences / workshops & also served as conference chairman, Keynote Speaker / moderator several times.
• Has a Diverse portfolio with in-depth knowledge of Quality Operations of different pharmaceutical dosage forms & acquainted with the global cGMP standards such as PIC/S/ ICH, USFDA, WHO, MHRA, GCC, SFDA etc.
• Dr. Wasif is a certified “Lead Auditor” and has conducted more than 100 audits of Pharmaceutical plants all around the world.
• Dr. Wasif has been “Examiner for PhD” and provided services as “Advisor/ subject matter expert” on pharmaceutical aspects by different international Organization.
• Dr. Wasif is married with three children & loves to read in his free time.

Dr Hina Khan has recently taken up the first ever Executive Director role at Space Scotland, a not-for-profit company formed through an industry-led group seeking to develop the space sector in Scotland. 

As ED, Hina will pull together the sector, championing the unique end to end capability of space in Scotland, engaging directly with UK and Scottish Governments to enable growth of the sector and capture opportunities that can be overcome through effective use of the Scottish Space  Ecosystem. 

Hina has an extensive background in the space sector, with a PhD in Space Science from the University of Leicester, a 10yr research career in space science data analytics from NASA, ESA and UCL, transitioning to knowledge exchange and business development of space applications, finally moving to leadership roles at the Scottish Centre of Excellence in Satellite Applications and then Spire to successfully integrate non-space sectors with space and satellite applications, and drive growth is areas of data science, analytics and technology. 

Hina is a Board member for GNOSIS – Global Network on Sustainability In Space and was involved in the development workshops which lead to the first ever Space Sustainability Roadmap, in partnership with Space Scotland.
