Stuart Derricott

Stuart originally worked within IT retail and Distribution for various vendors and partners including Sony, LG Electronics and Michelin.

Realizing 10 years ago he had transferable skills Stuart joined the hospitality sector – Originally working in Channel Management solutions and Booking Engines.

Enjoying the sector and all is offers he moved to his current role 3 years working with Operations Solutions, supporting hotels to automate all their guest requests, hotel maintenance and housekeeping functions to help solve staff shortages and save money.

The hospitality industry has taken some hard knocks over the last few years with the issues around Covid and the huge increases in the costs of energy but there is still a real hunger to adapt to change and look at how they can improve both their internal operational solutions and guest facing applications.

Audrey Funwie

Audrey Funwie works in the Patient Inclusion and Health Equity team of Genentech’s Chief Diversity Office. In this position, she focuses on initiatives to advance health equity and literacy for underserved communities regarding clinical trial access. Audrey collaborates with colleagues to co-create educational resources as a part of the core team of the innovative Advancing Inclusive Research Site Alliance, which focuses on addressing disparities in clinical research studies. Before working at Genentech, she graduated from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health with a Master of Bioethics and received her Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan. Audrey strives to do meaningful work that combines and applies her bioethics background while prioritizing and addressing health equity in the context of clinical studies, patient experience, and policy.

Kristina Reeder

Kristina leads the Patient Insights team at Parexel and is dedicated to bringing a thorough understanding of the patient journey, and the patient voice to the entire spectrum of research services.  With over 20 years in  clinical research, including  patient  innovation, feasibility, strategy, patient recruitment, retention, site engagement 12 of those years have been at Parexel.  She is the lead on the diversity and inclusion team, and member of DTRA, CISCRP and other industry consortiums aimed at improving access to clinical research and providing clinical research as a care option.  With post doctoral research studies in Human Behavior she has a BS in Human and Organizational Behavior, and Communication Studies and authored numerous trade articles and frequently present on behalf of Parexel at trade conferences.  She is experienced in research methodologies and conducting qualitative and quantitative research in a variety of therapy areas including respiratory, cardiology, oncology, immunology rare diseases and emerging therapy areas.

Adam Pitt

Adam Pitt is a Biological Threat Exclusion Coordinator (BTEC) for CBP in the Office of Field Operations/ Agriculture Programs and Trade Liaison/ Biological Threat Exclusion. As a BTEC, Mr. Pitt is charged with supporting and developing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operational capacity and capability in preventing tools of agro/bio-terrorism from entering the U.S. Mr. Pitt has more than 18 years of public service with CBP and the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and has worked in a variety of environments, including air passenger, cargo, and express consignment carrier locations.

Sean Smith

Sean Smith is a Biological Threat Exclusion Coordinator (BTEC) for CBP in the Office of Field Operations/ Agriculture Programs and Trade Liaison/ Biological Threat Exclusion. As a BTEC, Mr. Smith is charged with supporting and developing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operational capacity and capability in preventing tools of agro/bio-terrorism from entering the U.S.  Mr. Smith has more than 17 years of public service with CBP, and has worked in a variety of environments, including on the southern land border, maritime, air passenger, and cargo locations.  He has also been able to assist in several past domestic and international CBP disaster recovery operations.

His goal is to help you accelerate your clinical research career and be a more effective leader. Kunal has over 18 years of experience managing and conducting clinical trials. He enjoys connecting like-minded people, introducing new ideas, and immersing himself in an environment of continuous learning.

SEAN SMITH

Sean Smith is a Biological Threat Exclusion Coordinator (BTEC) for CBP in the Office of Field Operations/ Agriculture Programs and Trade Liaison/ Agro/Bio-Terrorism Countermeasures. As a BTEC, Mr. Smith is charged with supporting and developing U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operational capacity and capability in preventing tools of agro/bio-terrorism from entering the U.S. Mr. Smith joined CBP in 2005 as an Agriculture Specialist (CBPAS) and was promoted to Supervisory CBPAS in 2008. He has served CBP in the following ports of entry: San Diego, San Ysidro, Otay Mesa and Boston Logan Airport. From 2011- 2018, Mr. Smith served as the primary Public Affairs Liaison and Border Community Liaison, respectively, for CBP in New England. He has also volunteered to assist in past domestic and international CBP disaster recovery operations, including: Hurricane Ike (2008), ‘Operation Safe Return’ (Haitian Relief Effort- 2010), and Hurricane Harvey, DHS Surge Capacity Force (2017). Prior to CBP, Mr. Smith contributed to wildlife conservation for nearly a decade, completing field work on rare endemic Hawaiian birds on the Big Island of Hawaii, and raising rare and endangered birds (in some cases, extinct in the wild) at the San Diego Zoo’s Avian Propagation Center. Also, Mr. Smith is a former reserve firefighter and EMT for the City of Borrego Springs in California. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Systematic Biology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, California. Mr. Smith, his wife, two children, one dog, and one chicken live in an old farmhouse in Massachusetts.
