Laurence has carved himself a unique position in the stockbroking industry which perfectly combines his innate passion for the drinks world with his diverse investment banking background. He currently leads the European Beverages Equity Research team at Barclays Investment Bank having been recruited from a similar role at Societe Generale, where he worked for three years. In that time, SocGen Beverages rose to be the #2 ranked team in Europe, up from #10 when Laurence joined. Prior to SocGen, Laurence spent six years in the Corporate Finance departments of UBS and Investec where he worked on some of the largest and most innovative transactions in the European and UK markets.At Barclays, Laurence combines his deep financial and analytical experience with his unique knowledge and insights of the drinks industry. He is regularly quoted in drinks industry journals as well as by prominent news providers such as the Financial Times, the Economist and Bloomberg.
