Günther Marten

Günther Marten, Minister-Counsellor at the EU embassy in Beijing since Oct. 2016, is in charge developing institutional IP co-operation between EU and China and supporting European businesses. He joined EUIPO, Alicante/Spain, the managing agency for the EU trademark and design system, in 1995 and held various significant positions. Previously he worked at the Commission in Brussels as legal advisor.

Simon Brown

Simon Brown is the Director of the Film Content Protection Agency (FCPA) in the UK. The FCPA is part of the Film Distributors’ Association Ltd. (FDA) – the trade body for theatrical film distributors in the UK, which works in partnership with other bodies who share the goal of safeguarding films from piracy. Simon has 26 years of experience in the fields of investigation and security, in both the public and private sectors, having previously worked for Lancashire Police, the BBC and FACT (Federation Against Copyright Theft).

Russ Jacobs

Russ Jacobs currently serves as General Counsel, Legal Affairs Officer of National CASA, which supports state and local programs of advocates for children in or potentially entering the foster care system. In this role he serves on the executive leadership team and oversees all legal matters, including the organization’s trademark strategy. Prior to joining National CASA Jacobs worked for many years at Starbucks Corporation where he oversaw IP strategy and maintained litigation and transaction practices. In his IP practice at Starbucks Jacobs developed the company’s global anti-counterfeiting program, led a cross-functional effort to reset the enterprise approach to naming, represented Starbucks in hundreds of disputes, and defined enterprise IP clearance, filing, and enforcement parameters. Jacobs began his career as an attorney at the New York office of Hughes Hubbard & Reed, followed by time at Focal PLLC in Seattle before joining Starbucks. He earned his JD from Columbia University and his AB in Spanish and the History of Art from the University of Michigan.

Adam Rolston

Adam has been engaged in the practice of architecture since 1985, was born and raised in Los Angeles and attended Syracuse University School of Architecture, where he studied both in Syracuse and in Italy under the influence of the northern Italian Rationalists. Adam has served as the Senior Designer and Project Architect for many large-scale, commercial office, residential condominium, private residential, hospitality, and retail projects in Southeast Asia, Europe and New York. He is known for his keen attention to detail, his ability to tackle the design and planning of complex projects at a variety of scales and for his careful attention to client and user needs. Adam is a registered architect in the State of New York, a member of the AIA New York chapter and the USGBC.

Alireza Razavi

Alireza Razavi (1970) is a registered architect in France (DPLG 1996), a licensed professional in the USA (Registered Architect NYS 2005) and a Chartered Architect in the UK (RIBA 2016). He holds a Master’s Degree from Columbia University in New York (MSAAD 1998) and a Master’s Degree from the Ecole Nationale des Arts Décoratifs in Paris (Aii 1997). Early work collaborations include Eisenman Architects, Agrest & Gandelsonas, Shigeru Ban Architects, François de Menil Architects and senior project manager at FTL-Happold in New York. Alireza Razavi is a member of the American Institute of Architects.

Christian Robert

OFFICEUNTITLED is a young, energetic architecture and design firm focused on creative solutions across multiple scales and typologies, including commercial, hospitality, residential, and mixed-use. The practice leverages the award-winning design and project leadership of its four principals and a broad portfolio of experience in transformative architecture and interiors projects and is currently designing more than 4 million square feet of property.

Christian has led a series of boutique and large hospitality and multifamily residential projects including the 37 luxury condominium ‘The Harland’, the 150 key Woodlark Hotel and the iconic 200 key 9034 Sunset Hotel tower, slated to open in 2023, as well as the design of all worldwide innovation centers for Boston Consulting Group – Digital Ventures. Christian is a licensed Architect in six states and the European Union.

Paul Rodgers

Paul Rodgers is Design Partner at 10 DESIGN and has over 20 years of international experience in design and delivery of projects.

Paul has worked in a wide range of sectors including commercial, residential, education, master planning and infrastructure-related projects, with particular emphasis on concept design and its implementation. He has spent over 20 years designing projects in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America.

Philippe Pare

During his 10 years with Gensler, Design Principal Philippe has built a portfolio of award-winning work and has earned a reputation among clients and peers for creating inspiring work spaces that foster interaction and excitement. His approach to design is idea-driven, with uncompromising attention given to detail and craft. Philippe is the recipient of numerous accolades, including the AIA’s Institute Honor Award for Interior Architecture, and he most recently was recognized with Interior Design Magazine’s inaugural HIP award. An art enthusiast, Philippe serves as an Advisory Board member for the Art + Technology program at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Philippe earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the Université de Montréal, with additional architectural studies at Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
