Anand Merchant

Anand Merchant is the Associate Director, Clinical Information Sciences, supporting Late Oncology studies at AstraZeneca. He has over two decades of experience spanning areas of cancer and clinical research, bioinformatics, and scientific project management. His work with multidisciplinary teams has yielded impactful collaborative projects in both academia and government environments. He leverages all his learnings to improve the patient journey by helping design innovative clinical trials that are adaptive to the emergent challenges of our times. In his current role, some of the key responsibilities are to implement novel approaches and create interactive visualizations that systematically harness evidence from the vast array of literature and database resources. These evidence-based analytics provide scientific intelligence that support critical design assumptions, evaluation of technical aspects, assessment of benefit-risk profiles, and maximizes opportunities to ensure enrollment of a diverse and inclusive patient population relevant to the study.

 

Anand Merchant holds a medical degree, a Masters in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now a part of Rutgers University), and a Doctoral degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Connecticut Health Center.

Matt Churchill

Matt has over 10 years experience as a an advisor to many of Medallia’s largest global/multi-market programs, focusing on design and deployment best practices. Mostly focused on Insurance/FS, Telco and B2B industry. Matt previously worked as a CX Advisor, leading Net Promoter Certification Courses in Europe, Asia and Australia.

Lindsay Lovell

Lindsay is experienced in driving growth at international, enterprise software companies through a customer-centric approach to marketing. She has spent most of her career in the technology space, with a particular focus on the accounting and legal professions, helping firms see and realize the potential of software to transform operations. Outside of work, Lindsay enjoys musical theatre, both watching performances and taking to the stage herself.

Phillip O’Neill

Phil’s career has taken him on a two decade journey of digital transformation. He has helped organisations such as Money Supermarket, AIB, Worldfirst and Santander to achieve success through the power of technology. With over ten years’ experience in digital leadership roles within financial services he has developed deep sector knowledge. This has led to his current role as Director of Financial Services & Insurance at Kin + Carta.

Mani Shanmugham

Dr. Mani Shanmugham’s qualifications include Ph.D in Human Factors Engineering from Mississippi State Univ, USA, Masters in Mechanical/Biomedical and Bachelors’ in Mechanical/Materials Science Engineering. He was part of the original committee at AAMI and FDA HF and co-authored the following standards: IEC 62366-1 and 2 (Human Factors Engg Std) and AAMI TIR-50 (Contextual inquiry). His accomplishments include multiple medical device patents in infusion therapy, apheresis, and pediatric vascular devices, publications in peer-reviewed journals regarding Medical Device Alarms and Metacognition, Metamemory, and review board memberships at JMIR Journal.  Currently working as Director of QA/RA at Huma Therapeutics. Been in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries for the past 20+ years in R&D, Manufacturing, and QA/RA. Prior to Huma, worked at Boston Scientific, C.R.Bard, and Becton Dickinson at various capacities.

Anthony Lam

Anthony Lam is Head of Product at iProov, a biometric authentication company whose technologies have been deployed across public and private sector organizations worldwide including the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Singapore GovTech, U.K.’s National Health Service (NHS), UBS, and Eurostar. Anthony has led iProov’s biometric innovation since 2020, while also serving as a Co-Chair of the Face Verification working group at the FIDO Alliance.

His previous experience spans other technology endeavours including big data roles at SAP and public policy at Microsoft.
