Peter O’Connell

Peter O’Connell’s background, over 40 years, has been in technology, primarily within financial services, having transitioned from software engineering, to software and technical management, to business management and in recent years enterprise business development working with top tier advice businesses.

As well as developing new business, a key part of his role is to take a consultative approach to help clients adopt new technology solutions with a view to business transformation, improved operating models and customer experience.

Eve Wallace

Eve has a varied background within clinical research, starting her career as a Pharmacy Technician at Guys & St. Thomas’s Hospital London where she developed a passion for clinical research. Whilst working in pharmacy and studying towards a MSc in Clinical Research, Eve started her CRA career in a non-commercial environment. Over the years Eve has moved across to work within a commercial CRO with various clients before specialising in Rare Diseases with Orphan Reach over the last 6 years.

Eve’s current role as a Project Director allows her to provide guidance and support for clients with programs of studies, mentoring junior staff and managing her own studies

Luca Lapenna

Born in Trieste on 5/1/1966

After high school he graduated in “Political Science” at the University of Trieste with 110/110

From 1986 to 1988 he worked as a freelance journalist at the Albatross Press Agency

From 1989 to 1990 he served in the military as an Officer of Carabinieri in the IX Battalion of Sardinia

From 1990 to 1999 he worked at the Central Management of “Assicurazioni Generali” with responsibility for the insurance programs of Italian and foreign multinational companies, with particular attention to the “Italian fashion” and high technology sector

From 1999 to 2001 London as Manager of the Marine & Energy office of Generali Global

From 2001 to 2003 Deputy General Manager and European Marine Practice Group Director of Willis Holding (third world insurance broker)

From 2003 to 2005 Managing Director of Marintec Underwriting Agency

Since October 2005, member of the Board of Directors of Arti Grafiche Julia Spa with responsibilities for International Markets and RFID Technology Development

He’s a member of the Experian team focused on working with their insurance partners to better understand their customers, and how they can help build better products, pricing, and fraud prevention and ultimately a trusted and valuable relationship with those customers.

Michael Hickey

Michael Hickey is the VP of Clinical Operations at Bio-Path Holdings, LLC, a small biotech focused on developing liposomal antisense oligonucleotides in leukemia, lymphoma and solid tumors.  With over 26 years of experience at large and small sponsors including 6 years on the CRO side, Michael brings a truly collaborative approach and broad expertise in oncology and rare disease clinical drug development.  His clinical experience has focused on challenging indications such as head-and-neck cancer, colorectal cancer, breast cancer with BRCA mutations as well as chemotherapy induced myelosuppression, hemophilia, and Battens Disease.
