Rob Wilson

Rob Wilson served as Conservative MP for Reading East from 2005 -2017. He served as Minister for Civil Society from 2014 -2017 with a brief which included the charities sector, volunteering and social enterprise. He was also a member of the cross-government committee on drugs/county lines and homelessness.

Since leaving Parliament, Rob has built on his business career taking on a number of Non-Executive Director positions in the public, private and charity arenas. Formerly he was a founding partner of organisations in the technology and health sectors.

Gabriel Sapir

Gabriel is a Senior Consultant at GlobalData. Having trained in clinical medicine, he was a William J. Harrington Scholar for Latin America at the University of Miami (Jackson Memorial Hospital) and a Marie Curie Fellow at the University of Newcastle (National Health Service Blood and Transplant), where he completed his Fellowship in Immunology and Organ Transplantation. He holds a Master’s degree from the University of Oxford in Global Health Sciences and Health Economics. He has worked 5+ years in Life Sciences R&D consulting performing due diligence for financial investments with a portfolio of US$ 250 million in completed deals and acceleration of various products and start-ups across the EMEA region. He holds Israeli, British and Brazilian citizenships and speaks English, Portuguese, Spanish, and German fluently.

I get asked to talk about investments, strategic, commercial and industrial solutions in Biotechnology and Life Sciences. As a consultant, I offer my capability to sit on the same table with R&D, Commercial, Clinical and translational professionals, and entrepreneurs and start-ups in various development stages.

With knowledge of the financial world, I liaise with venture Capitalists, Institutional investors and financial analyst so to strike partnerships and deals to accelerate products, generate strategic and commercial partnerships and accelerate products to commercialisation. Additional skills include product market forecast, due diligence and data analytics insights.

Calin Coman

Calin Coman is Regional Director, Europe for New Frontier Data, where he oversees New Frontier Data’s commercial strategy, research, and partnerships within Europe. New Frontier Data, the authority in data, analytics, and business intelligence for the cannabis industry, is an independent technology company whose mission is to elevate the discussion around the legal cannabis industry globally by providing unbiased vetted information and educating stakeholders to make informed decisions. Previously, Calin served as Chief Investment Officer for Canalis Capital, a Panama based cannabis venture capital and acceleration firm. Prior to his time in cannabis, Calin spent several years in the commodities trading sector where he managed cross-asset portfolios in agricultural physical commodities, derivatives and foreign exchange. He is a  CFA charter holder and has also held positions in risk management and finance.

Gary Allen

Gary Allen, a visionary thought leader in the tech space, is robustly experienced in the world of entrepreneurship, from start up to exit, and is well known for his accomplishments in Marketing Technology. Some of Allen’s successes include the creation of a market first Mobile Banking app in 1998; building the market leading bid-management technology while at Performics purchased by DoubleClick, now known as Dart Search, further purchased by Google in 2007; and, as CEO, growing a top competitive intelligence firm that was purchased by Kantar Media.
Allen has spent the last four years as the Principal of Spire Strategy Consulting, now known as Modern Minds, where he concentrates on bringing the ideas of startups to market.  From mobile apps to a completely new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) digital education platform, Allen is committed to seeing the dreams of entrepreneurs realized. Prior to leading Modern Minds, Allen helped an aspiring business man in Minneapolis create FRWD, a marketing agency that combined marketing and consulting in a revolutionary and unique way. FRWD was one of the fastest growing market firms during Allen’s tenure as Partner.

Miki Goetsch

Miki Goetsch is a Director at Inceptua Group, responsible for rapidly growing regions, such as Asia’s developing clinical trial market. Miki is also a board member for Inceptua’s Japan office in Kobe, Shanghai Office in China, and Hong Kong.
Miki has extensive experience working with Japanese, American, and European companies, particularly with consulting on how to benefit most efficiently from the opportunities of collaboration between East and West. During her time at Inceptua, Miki has been responsible for ensuring the success and setup of the Japan, China, and UK offices, as well as leading the Operations team in the Clinical Trial Services department. Her main focus is to strategically implement what is best for clients in terms of their needs from EU/US to Asia. Miki is fluent in Japanese and English.

Nathaniel Loxley

Founder of Vitality Hemp and a Director of the British Hemp Alliance (formerly Association), Nathaniel has hands on experience of growing hemp and development of various diversified down-stream products. Campaigning for a more progressive business environment for the benefit of the industry as a whole and dedicated to the integrity of the plant and it’s Environmental benefits.

Dr Julie Moltke

Dr Julie Moltke is a medical doctor and has spent most of her career focusing on mental health, stress management, and the medicinal cannabis industry. She believes in personalised medicine and seeing every client as an individual with a holistic approach to health and wellbeing. She is the scientific advisor for Thedrug.store and the founder of the London-based health, wellness and cannabis science publication, Getthedose. Dr Julie prescribes medicinal cannabis at Clinic Horsted in Denmark and she is a public speaker and a yoga and mindfulness teacher. She also owns and runs a retreat centre at her farm in southern Sweden.

Harald van Weeren

Harald van Weeren is the Segment Manager for Clinical Trials and the Head of Segment Management at Berlinger & Co. AG. Harald holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Twente, The Netherlands. With over 15 years of experience in Product Management and Market Segment Management across various high-tech industries, Harald joined Berlinger in 2020. In his role, he is responsible for directing Berlinger’s focus on Clinical Trials, tracking market trends, and ensuring cutting-edge condition monitoring solutions for clinical trial supply.
